It Cuts Like Knife The Hunger that last
In shadows of secret places it grow
Resistance is futile, beckoning, come
Deepest pain puts salt on open wounds,
She knows.
Hunger, feels like, tears, or pain.
Madness comes with a full moon or heavy rain.
Instinct drives a moth to the flame.
It’s as natural as an infant sucking ring.
Dare I embrace? Letting it, roam free
It engulf blinding me
Hunger’s clueless let it be.
Don’t embrace a dangerous thing.
In fears, with tears, the powers strong,
Invisible thread’s too tight, too long.
Love’s hunger engulfing no less
Beneath the surface, it’s subjective at best.
Poison’s gigantic no less.
A temporary fix at best,
Strategize move forward to succeed
It's a monumental task indeed.
Sneak around be quite as mice
Don’t fall into the same hole, twice.
Surrender’s, sweet as honey to taste
Pleasure replaces hunger’s waste
O Captain! My Captain!
The ship has weathered the storm.
The prize you sought is won.
Accepting love’s hunger is done.
