    I'm Not Sure If That Matters

    I might coulda maybe blown the whole thing with you

    I'm not sure if that matters

    I would have gone to the grave with you

    I'm not sure if that matters

    I've never been fazed by the way your thoughts scatter

    I'm not sure if that matters

    I'm always amazed at the way you make the blood splatter

    I'm not sure if that matters

    I feel it the same if it's mine or your heart that shatters

    I'm not sure if that matters

    No matter how enraged I've been I never meant it was over

    I'm not sure if that matters

    A pound of little, and a one-pound big thing weigh the same

    I'm not sure if that matters

    I could keep this up for a decade or just quit now

    I'm not sure if that matters either...

    its really different from what you usually do Old man but its fresh it doesn't really seem to have that DANK stamp at the end you know that stamp that just resonates with your soul and makes you say damn honestly it isn't my favorite poem but i would like to see more poems like it with the DANK stamp too i like the metaphor in the 4th from last line though , so much so i might steal it lol

    Thanks Boy, I told you it was something new, stylistically, It's meant to address that thing people do when they try to act like no matter what "it's cool, I don't care" The repetitive line, I hope, makes the point that its sickening and understated... Honestly I don't know that I will use this style again, I was surprised by how difficult it was to work with. The metaphor you refer to is kinda the whole point of the piece, you know when a person makes your life miserable in a 1000 little ways for a long time, and they expect you to take it in stride, but then you screw-up once in a kinda big way and they treat it like the Unforgivable Sin..... Thanks for your observations My Son, you do critique as well as you write Love Dad{a.k.a. Old Man}

    To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
