    Eyes that love

     Mommy why do you pretend like I’m not in trouble?
    Daddy why don’t you love at me like you used to?
    Have I changed so much?
    from the moment of my birth i was put in your hands
    placed with faith my soul had finally found a place of growth a place of nurture
    you looked down at me
    for a long time you looked down and I trusted I was safe
    I had no choice
    but now those eye that were full of love are hardened over
    full of worry hate and dread
    my eyes full of love have left me
    how can I trust you now
    how can I trust anyone
    with no eyes that love?
