    dead tree

Dead tree you stand alone still leafless in July

You live in mute a calming still

A beauty masked to almost all, but sneaks around at night

Your broken branches clawing at the bright full moon above

Shadow dancing in rain portraying your lost love

The world may shun you old dead tree

But to open eyes and welcome hearts

You’re a safe haven standing tall

    A beauty

    Broken tree
