A Child's Memory
Four years old I am, being tucked in and kissed good night by mom.
I awake to deep breathing;
my eyes lock on a dark hooded figure slowly coming towards me.
My body freezes up, not being able to yell for mother or father.
The figure comes closer to me, revealing the lower section of the face.
The figure smiled grimacely;
my body flipped over for my to lay on my back; I wanted to call for help, but couldnt.
My eyes catch a golden light become revealed, I thought I might've gone to Heaven.
A woman with beautiful wings on her back and beautiful long brown straight hair rose from my bedroom floor, she spread her wings shining a light towards the dark hooded figure.
As I tried fighting the force holding me down, my eyes gazed upon the fight for me.
The hooded figure disappeared without a trace; I felt the force gone; the woman with the wings turned towards me brushing the hair out of her face, she smiled at me saying "its okay, he will never hurt you."
The woman disappeared without a trace.
