The leader
There is a turning point for everyone.
Where one no longer follows the straight and narrow.
Here is where growth usually develops.
That turning point may be a forked road
that the traveler has passed by many times;
but today, he has a notion to find out where
the other road goes.
Many a life has changed because of an inner need for excitement.
That which is "normal" in every passing day
soon becomes bland and very then boring.
So let us ask what makes it happy?
Is it the small shiver
that is preceeeded by the memory
of what has passed between lovers the night before;
or the smile that comes with the recognition of an old friend?
or maybe the surpise of a wink or whistle?
Yet, one must challenge to proceed!
Even if the challenge may be a simple one.
The adventurer knows that without challenge
there is only sameness.
Same is simple and simple is boring,
which leads him back to having to deal with monotony
or finding a turning point in an effort to change
even the smallest things.
Some get lost along the way,
some always will.
Even though lost they may be,
when they are asked if they would change a thing
they never say yes.
Words play games as they have for centuries,
but without words there would be no opporunity
for the telling of adventures
and the sharing of likenesses
which is very important to mankinds life.
The traveler may take both roads,
the adventurer may take only one,
but the leader long ago
cut the trails
so we would have choice.
