THE LANTERN IN THE MOUNTAIN
There's A Lantern in the mountain I have seen every night.I toss in My sleep and struggle a disturbing fight.
Scratches On My back left by the Beast.
I'm not lying about this. Not at the least.
The haunting of the Indian slaughter comes alive.
Satan alive and well creeping into my sleep arrives.
I stared Him straight into green demon eyes;As They burst.
Awakened by the nightmares for a few years of the worst.
Meanwhile the lantern moving closer to My home.
I pace the floors and go for walks to roam.
One night there were no stars in the sky.
The moon full of brilliance as I give a sigh.
I know You are here still stalking now...
I am not afraid of You at all and I am letting You know.
So I went inside to answer the knock at my door next.
The Demon thought He had My soul as tried His tex.
Satan held His lamp up and He was not seen.
I knew it was Him again trying to be mean.
Next I politely closed the Door being polite.
The devil stewed and brewed as He tried to Fight.
Another knock at my door familiar with rage and His light.
I went to the Door and stood Delighted to meet the Beast.
I joking laughed at Him and very politely turned away At least.
Closing the door once more saying nicely that i know Your there still.
Opening up the door again He was just blasting Me with His Evil will.
So I brought out the bug spray to spray Him down as wet as I could.
He just was furious with Me and harder he roared and Bangs.
Well I then tried My floral scented Aerosol So He show his Fangs.
As I laughed last and harder then Him I did right in His Face...
I recalled the Moment so vividly at midnight at My Place.
The poor Dude the Devil had enough of My taste.
I replied to Devil You know Your time is a waste.
I then decide He should have a gift so I pass Him a ring with a red gem.
Well it just melted His Heart again and He became unhemmed.
