The Beast Within
You look in the mirror,
Then you look back at me.
But whose reflection did you see?
It didn’t look like you,
And it sure as hell ain’t me.
It must be the beast within lookin’ back at you.
He taught you to lie,
Taught you to steal,
Taught you that sin is for real.
You sold your soul,
Gave away your heart,
Now the beast within’ll tear you apart.
You taught me to love,
He taught you to hate.
You tried to turn back,
But now it’s too late.
You tried to live,
Never tried to learn,
The beast within’ll cause you to burn.
He taught you to lie,
Taught you to steal,
Taught you to hate,
Taught you to kill,
Taught you that sin is for real.
He’s the beast within.
