Internal Civil War
On the battlefield of my mind,
The soldiers move in,
To overcome insanity,
It’s time for the battle to begin.
There are two forces fighting this war,
Choose your side,
And what you’re fighting for.
Armed with ambition,
To the enemy, I petition,
Surrender or be destroyed.
My soldiers are evenly deployed,
Throughout the battlefield of my mind.
The soldiers fall in line,
To salute General Know-It-All.
A gold mine,
Of intelligence wasted on this brawl.
“As you were!” He proclaims,
In this wasteland of burning flames.
This Internal Civil War,
In my head,
Shut the door,
On all the dead,
Forgotten soldiers laid to rest,
The battle won by the best.
