Take My Last Breath
echoes and whispers...
calling my name...
feeling the embers...
fanning the flames...
sweat beading on my head...
my skin pasty and wet...
wishing I were dead...
instead of full of regret...
stumbling from the pain...
washing over my form...
happiness ever my bane...
me so very far from the norm...
shallow breathing...
faint recollections...
my life spent deceiving...
growing this infection...
that is my life...
filling up the years...
full of strife...
full of tears...
wipe them away...
watch them return...
never can I stay...
never can I learn...
ever doomed and damned alike...
watching from within my crystal cage...
never showing what I feel like...
burning deep within is my rage...
my emotions hurled...
cast aside...
I rage at the world...
as I almost died...
"Why prolong this misery"...
I ask of Death...
"Why didn't you take me...
take my last breath"...
