Falling Rain
falling rain...
spilling from the sky...
keeping me sane...
as ghostly images walk by...
seeping into my clothes...
soothing the demons no one else knows...
creeping over my skin...
attempting to wash away my sin...
cool and wet to the touch...
hiding the tears I weep too much...
head tilted up high...
rain falling into my eyes...
helping me to see...
just what it is to be me...
holding me in place...
as the water drizzles from my face...
glorious rain falling down...
washing over the whole town...
resurrecting from the past...
those things that have come to pass...
flooding them out of my mind...
making it harder for me them to find...
freeing me from my pain...
is this cleansing falling rain...
spilling from the sky...
keeping me sane...
as ghostly images walk by...
seeping into my clothes...
soothing the demons no one else knows...
creeping over my skin...
attempting to wash away my sin...
cool and wet to the touch...
hiding the tears I weep too much...
head tilted up high...
rain falling into my eyes...
helping me to see...
just what it is to be me...
holding me in place...
as the water drizzles from my face...
glorious rain falling down...
washing over the whole town...
resurrecting from the past...
those things that have come to pass...
flooding them out of my mind...
making it harder for me them to find...
freeing me from my pain...
is this cleansing falling rain...
