All Good Things
All good things...
eventually come to an end...
even where there once was love...
sadness has crept in...
tears fall down my cheeks...
even though it was my choice...
if only you could see the pain...
that seeps into my voice...
I loved you with all my heart...
wishing that you were mine...
finding I was weak, I was nothing...
again our lives separate, waiting for a sign...
where do we go from here...
what will keep me going...
who will comfort me in the night...
when I'm alone, all my emotions showing...
all these things...
can be said from you as well...
and for that I apologize...
now we both live in our private Hell...
we were here once before...
you and I on the brink...
we turned our backs on each other...
not knowing what to think...
we came through almost unscathed...
wearing our smiles on our faces...
dreaming of each other again...
and of being together in new places...
alas, the time has come...
the white-garbed angel sings...
our sorrow filled song...
and again I say, "All good things..."
eventually come to an end...
even where there once was love...
sadness has crept in...
tears fall down my cheeks...
even though it was my choice...
if only you could see the pain...
that seeps into my voice...
