    Peace

     

     

    People all over the world

    People all over the state

    People all over the country

    All need a change

     

    Because people are people no matter where they’re from

    And children are children

    All under the same sun

    Parents are parents

    Trying to get by

     

    So why oh why

    Are we not one?

     

    So many things are happenin’ in the world

    So many things are the same

    Disasters and starvation

    Earthquakes, Hurricanes

    Why can’t we all get along?

     

    Because our stars

    Are their stars

    Our trees

    Are their trees

    Our world is their world

     So Why isn’t there

    Peace?

     

    Because people are people no matter where they’re from

    And children are children

    All under the same sun

    Parents are parents

    Trying to get by

    Are we not one?

    I like this one. We need to question. That's the only way to eventually find answers and make this world the beautiful place it was meant to be. I don't know if we will see Peace in our lifetime but we can leave our mark and wishes by writing. Good work!

    Bravo!! dear......yes people are people, but more people are humans and as such we are still babes in our humanity, for we have not lived and learned enough yet to seek what true humanity really needs, Peace!!!.......one day, not in our lifetime I am afraid humans will learn this and the world will become a better place to be human a living being and not just a lump of dust......wonderful poem dear........you rhythm and rhyme we well done.......thanks for the great read.....love asha
