only if you knew

only if you knew

                                    Only if you knew
I Watch you grow into the young woman that you are today.
From a little girl that wrapped your finger around my heart.
To this beauty that stands in front of me.
Only if you knew how much you have touched my heart.
Only if you knew how much you touched my soul.
Only if you knew how much you touched  my being.
Only if you knew how much you showed me how to love.
Only if you knew how much you showed me what laughter really is.
Only if knew how you showed me hurt.
My daughter the person that I look at and see myself.
I look into your eyes and I see myself.
This amazing Gift that you gave me.
Motherhood, friendship.

ONLY IF YOU KNEW!

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
