Come to Me
Reaper calls to meSings to me
“come to me, my love”
Fading in and out
Like a painful memory
Until nothing alive is left
Of a soul that can’t be free
Of a past that hold me prisoner
Blind to it and blind to love
While seeing a world
So distant and cold
Marvelous and painful
Full of promises untold
Silly school girl with a rose colored glass
As everything around her
Burns and turns to ash
Reaper calls to me
Sings to me
“come to me, my love.”
Sound the trumpets, lead the way
Bring on that sublime darkness
And eat the light of day
Dance with distant shadows
And feast with calm repose
For how you managed this long
Is something no one really knows
No sense in trusting a heart
That has long since rotted through
Giving in to perfect stillness
Is all there is really left to do
So call me mature decedere
And sing softly as I burn
For the joy that I have found
And the rest that I shall earn
