The Pirate's Gale
On the midnight hour where the waters flow
Near the harbor's docking you can see the show
Of a moon beam figure with her full moon glow
As she sings out chantings for the wind to blow
If you listen closely to her sacred tale
You will hear a story of a man at sail
With enchanting love she casts a spell
And waits with hope for a thundering gale
As the men on land prep for storms on high
If you stand your ground with believer's eye
You can view a ship always standing by
Across the waters where sea meets sky
A vessel known as the Pirate's Tomb
With a ghostly mist and a darkened gloom
Sounds it's horn to the woman's tune
As the swabbies perch on the ships large boom
And behind the wood of a helm so cold
The Captain steers towards his love of old
And as they meet in the storm so bold
She greets him there on the deck to hold
Pirates bow on the starboard side
Deck hands swoon to their queen in pride
Captain laughs with a smile wide
Then gives a kiss to his ship's true bride
And every wave from the raging sea
Drowns out the sadness of the dead mans plea
To keep her there where she's meant to be
As the wind she called will not set her free
It tugs her skirt urging her to go
She drifts off swiftly from her lover's woe
But with a promise that he's come to know
She'll return again wtih a warming glow
And as she fades with the rising sun
This their tale is not nearly done
For days of old when their love was spun
Eternity over time they won
