Carousel Fantasy
In the dark I see a dream
Lights and colors bold in scheme
Childhood fancies rush in flight
Through my body at the sight
Music plays a carnival song
Lines of people rush along
Laughter gaily strikes a chord
As children all ages climb aboard
I'm drawn in without concern
To take a ride I want my turn
Hypnotized with full delight
By dancing scenes of magical light
And as my turn rolls around
I lift my feet up off the ground
Mounted atop a mystical steed
Ready to start off the stampede
Slowly now all in stride
The herd takes off on a fantasy ride
Turning corners,taking bends
Under trees, dodging limbs
Across a prairie through the night
The Pegasus takes me up out of sight
Over mountains soaring high
I touch the stars set in the sky
Swooping down to oceans wide
I run my fingers through the tide
Racing through the valleys low
Over a canyon we swiftly go
Rushing, speeding up and down
Through my dreams round and round
Circling the globe I travel tonight
On a carousel horse in flight
