The Burden

Who is there,
To bear your burdens,
The secrets that lie
Deep in the heart?
Who will comprehend
Your maze of understanding?
To whom do you express
Your desolate desires?
To whom can you tell
One's exertion to?
To what extent will
I carry this burden alone
in mute recession?
To whom will I bestow
My sincere speech
That one will regard
With no antagonism?
To whom will I offer
My loyalty,
My sacred treasure
Of thoughts?
To whom will consider me,
When bleakness confines me?
To whom can I give my heart,
Without it being torn once more?
Who can I believe
To be a genuine friend?

How can we trust another when we cant trust ourselves? As respect for thine self before U expect respect from others. good write.

This is such a great poem. It expresses every question I wish I could ask the people in my life because friendship is very important to me. Great job! ^_^

i like the way you put these ideas into questions. this is really good.

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
