Survival guide
children lost, in a city that never sleeps
Left alone at night, mothers working themselves into a quiet desperate death
And when she is gone
They tell him she never cared and that if she had she would have been there more
And he thinks: If she died in vain working her fingers to the bonebarely making ends meet and then died alone a result of too many years of struggle and no one noticed
Would you blame him?
For slinging on some random cornerso he could buy a ring to put on the finger of the woman that he would never allow to work to that quiet desperate death
He will be notice
She will be loved
Left alone at night, mothers working themselves into a quiet desperate death
And when she is gone
They tell him she never cared and that if she had she would have been there more
And he thinks: If she died in vain working her fingers to the bonebarely making ends meet and then died alone a result of too many years of struggle and no one noticed
Would you blame him?
For slinging on some random cornerso he could buy a ring to put on the finger of the woman that he would never allow to work to that quiet desperate death
He will be notice
She will be loved
