A thousand lives
I have lived a thousand lives in one, I have been a gypsy at night selling my magical trinkets to the masses, those living on the hope of a new love, in the wake of great loss, Giving myself to those who will take meI have been a child of a world that has for too long been dead, Wintery white and full of ashes, Pale like I once was, When rosy cheeks turn white and cold.
I have been a mother, holding the tiny body in my heart in my soul, Wanting nothing more then to let this child grow and flourish in a world that will eventually choke her Praying she won't know this kind of despair
I have been left alone Saved by the boy whose wings no longer beat whose heart no longer beats whose hands will never again beat.
I have left myself as something etheral floating above the water that has become my only solace. my only companion my only lover. And now in this life, I am broken beaten naked alone, I am pure, white, cold
