Sinners and Saints
Talons of evil cling to my soul, unable to be free, take control.
My soul is lost in this dark,
nowhere to run, no place to start.
The evil rises like a cloud,
darkness decends like a shroud.
In this dry and arid place,
peace and hope, they have no space.
The demons shriek with glee,
i can find no place of reprieve.
They grip me like a iron vise,
Chains surround my heart of ice.
Then one day i met a man,
met me in my arid land.
Took my hand and said to me,
Follow me, I'll set you free.
I'll give you comfort for your pain,
give you the sun for your rain.
I've got the key for your chains,
I'll set you free, cleanse your stains.
See I've been where your at,
always trying to make it back.
So never ever drop and faint,
take it from me, once a sinner, now a saint.
