Shattered Souls
Two souls of anquish bound together
lusting for what is lost
These two souls, are very strong
and yet they are so weak
His eyes of glass, do not reflect
for they can never see
For what is there, within his sight
simply is not real.
Her eyes reflect, reflect her heart
it was once so pure
shattered like ice; broken glass
her heart is among the shards
His heart so dark and yet so light
this is what she sees
he is love, and also kind
and yet he does not bleed
His mind is rotting, his body stiff
he is among the dead
within his spirit, within his mind
the darkness remains trapped
fried and sizzled like an egg
his mind has faded away
Bound together, by their own lust
lusting for what is real
The love is gone; just an illusion
of what he cannot feel
the tainted glass; the broken hearts
her mind lost within herself...
lusting for what is lost
These two souls, are very strong
and yet they are so weak
His eyes of glass, do not reflect
for they can never see
For what is there, within his sight
simply is not real.
Her eyes reflect, reflect her heart
it was once so pure
shattered like ice; broken glass
her heart is among the shards
His heart so dark and yet so light
this is what she sees
he is love, and also kind
and yet he does not bleed
His mind is rotting, his body stiff
he is among the dead
within his spirit, within his mind
the darkness remains trapped
fried and sizzled like an egg
his mind has faded away
Bound together, by their own lust
lusting for what is real
The love is gone; just an illusion
of what he cannot feel
the tainted glass; the broken hearts
her mind lost within herself...
