    Poem Commentary

In SF I saw a wounded seagull with broken wing who was trying to break free from the cage... This memory was following me for a long time until I wrote this poem...

    Seagull

    Seagull

Yep, it’s a harmless game that we play somehow

You are guarded by a scorpion while I fight a holy cow

Are you loving or not -

    After years you will see

It’s a vortex which leads to the grind

    When a seagull is caught

    And declined by the sea

For God’s sake does he really need wind?

Little angel of mine, ask this question to Jesus above:

Was there a reason to poison this friendship with love?

    When the love’s overaged

    It’s so easy to see

That your shackles are made of rings

    When a seagull is caged

    And denied by the sea

For God’s sake does he really need wings?

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.
