    Fool is the Man

I guess I cannot understand your reason:
“Well, if you loved me, you should stand my treason.”
I cannot understand the way you live:
“Well, if you loved me, you should let me leave.”
I hate your lies. No matter how you swear.
You change your lovers like they are your underwear.

One more shot of bitter rum –
    I’ll be wiser then.
Yet I’m empty like a drum.
Oh, babe… Fool is the man!

I can’t accept what you are fighting for.
You are enslaved by your freedom. Nothing more.
I think you never will regret for doing wrong.
You think it all was just a slip of the tongue.
I still cannot recover from the bad that is done.
But I still call you nightly just to hear that you’re gone.

One more shot of bitter rum –
    I’ll be wiser then.
Yet I’m empty like a drum.
Oh, babe… Fool is the man!
