    Poets and Poems

     Poets have a special way
    of seeing the mundane
    as a potential basis
    for a sweet refrain

    They write of death
    full of darkest woe
    cathartically
    words sooth them so

    Poems can be magical
    fantastical and fun
    hoping to inspire to
    keep sorrow on the run

    Some poems are written solemnly
    to reverently proclaim
    honor and glory
    remembrance or fame

    Each poem created
    is penned with thought 
    validation, celebration, and
    reasoning sought

    Poems can be nonsense
    or not understood
    abstract and personal
    and not always good

    poetry is in the mind of the beholder-I write for my benefit-I don't know if I like rating poet's work-oft times I feel 'what right do I have to assess others artisitic renderings?)-glad you liked:)...Earthly

    True so true...Love what you do, like the way you say, when you write about things this way. Love your rhythm, adored the rhyme, will read your stuff anytime. Write on....
