Oh Captain My Captain
Oh Captain my captain,
I am but a dead poet upon the night,
A seed of man yet a soul of the child of light.
Ye if I never wake upon the morrow,
Life’s bloom would have not been in sorrow.
Ye if death’s embrace flowers my ashes,
And the reaper steals away the very breath of my life,
I will go ever so quietly into the night,
For I raged upon the day…
