Why Shall It Be?
In the subtle arise of life out of the blank darkness of despair,
Comes forth a new horizon we share,
And on the extremity of the betroven tomorrow,
We find ourselves in tears of sorrow.
This is a day of bittersweet sorrow,
Of a long awaited tomorrow,
This is a day of extreme remorse,
In which God has taken his course.
Our souls lie in a world of confusion and turmoil,
Twisting and turning,
Our hearts lie burning,
And in a single drift of darkness,
We finally start learning,
"But what of you God?"
"Why have you forsaken us?” we say,
"Why do you not show us the way?"
A quiet time stills the rain,
In which we lie in pain.
And out of the cooling fire,
In the darkness of the eternal night,
Shines forth a guiding light.
And so our frightened souls bow in awe,
For we now understand his law,
We now realize that it is only us to forsake,
And only our souls we can take,
Our bodies lie buried and our souls lie carried,
For we are in his loving arms,
And only our sin is what thou harm.
And sinful we are such creatures,
Hideous in our features,
But out of love we are not discarded,
Or forever barbed,
But instead we are carded,
For the gates of heaven so parted.
And so I ask you God,
"Why do you spare such sod?”
And so with grace he nodded and whispered in my ears,
Words that brought me such tears.
He said upon me,
"Bare my beloved child of mine,
You ask me why I be so kind,
The answer lies within your heart,
For it is hear that I start,
But of ignorance you do not hear,
You just lie in fear".
And so I bring
You these words I will never forget I heard.
He continued to say,
"When I look in to your heart my child,
I see your soul is wild,
But within such a child,
You are blinded no more,
For you have learned to soar and see,
This is why it shall be,
You have learned to hold the key,
You have learned to see me,
And for within your heart you love me,
This is why it shall be"...
To truly find God,
You need only look within yourself!!!
