Nullus Jus In Bello
Distracted and brooding on the state of our life
Where are you my love, where the hell have I gone?
I see your face in my dreams every night,
yet awake alone before too long
I'm so tired all day, and so restless at night
I miss feeling the other half of my heart beating within your breast
I've become an unwilling martyr in this pointless plight
I need to feel your head on my chest, the warmth of your breath
My soul is in tatters beating a ragged, hollow drum
I beg for a piece of you, a morsel, a crumb
Those that hear my cries are blind, deaf, and dumb
And we're still alone, Nullus Jus In Bello
Leaving a feast for the crows in it's wake
I struggle to believe this war machine could be real
filling us with lies, telling us for our families sake's
but my family IS at stake, and I can barely feel
My soul is in tatters. Beating a ragged, hollow drum
I beg for a piece of you, a morsel, a crumb
Those that hear my cries are willingly blind, deaf, and dumb
And we're still alone, Nullus Jus In Bello
Not for soldiers, not for wives
NULLUS JUS IN BELLO
Not for the orphans that cry
NULLUS JUS IN BELLO
Not for the countless, innocent, stolen lives
NULLUS JUS IN BELLO
Not for the widow screaming, WHY?
NULLUS JUS IN BELLO
except for the leaders that lie
anarchy before slavery, suicide before genocide
I will NOT kill anymore, I'd rather die
