Midnight Awakening
Dusty, earth coated bare feet,
Lifted, Barely touching the well worn path.
Inhaling deeply of the scented midnight air,
Intoxicating, lifts the soul like a drug.
Smooth, soft palms open and outstretched,
Caress the rough bark of the silent guardians.
Full and round, the silvery goddess casts her light
shimmering satin ribbons dance down before me.
Softly whispering and twisting
Invisible fingers, of the soft breeze caress my bare skin.
The deep purple wood awakens with its song,
hidden in shadow, all around, they lift their voices.
My steady beating heart, like a drum, joins the song.
Closing my eyes, feeling the energy,
Awakening my inner peace.
