    Poem Commentary

    I'm posting this one, because I believe it described my thoughts for the part of my life, and just learning to express them. And according to the tags, it was inspired by Pink Floyd. Probably from Comfortably Numb.

    Listen To the LIfe

     Listen to the children as they play
    Listen to the lovers as they sing
    Listen to the sound of the forest
    All of the peace and tranquility
    All the beauty, all the love
    God help us, for we are lost

    Listen to the sounds of the city
    Listen to the sirens always racing
    Listen to the fights bringing misery
    And all the pain it keeps on bringing
    All the hatred, all the tears
    All the hope lost through years

    Listen to my words of truthfulness
    Listen to the meaning they bring
    Listen to the pain inside of your
    And that monster that longs to sing
    Let it out and see
    Release the misery

    Better yet, just sit and listen
    Do not try to make a noise
    Do not move above the crowd
    Then again, that's your choice
    Listen to the sounds
    Like you, trying to be found

    Listen to the all the lost sounds
    Listen to the souls that can't break free
    Listen to the hatred consuming you
    All the sorrow, the pain, the misery
    Listen and become numb
    Listen, become no one

    Loose yourself into the sound
    Give your soul a rest of trying
    Do not fight the feeling inside now
    For no matter what, you're dying
    Can't escape life, you know
    For we come, live and go

    Listen to the children as they play
