Ode to Snow
Though it is night, the light is astoundingAll is clear, all is expounding
I look toward the lights, the snow still falls
Building this mound of beautiful walls
I cannot describe the joy it brought me
To see the snow fall, so gracefully
Coating my world with the purest of whites
Shining divine, bringing the brightest of lights
Showing me a world that was otherwise hidden
Showing me a time that has no woes, no burden
Hiding the signs of troubles and responsibilities
Covering my land with a purpose of safe keeping
And the next morning, as the sun does shine through
I notice a sparkle, a glare if I am to be true
The light, though blinding, was pure as could be
As the snow, sitting so still, in its eternal beauty
My lonely soul cannot refuse such beauty divine
And joy coats my heart, in this happiest of times
