    Hidden

     I've hidden everything from you
    all the things i didnt tell/ didnt show
    everything you thought you knew
    has been edited, has been changed somehow
    my life and everything about it has been sanded
    all the rough edges filed so i seem better
    i hide myself from you, so not to scare you away
    i hide from the world, so i am not judged
    i'm not the same girl i once was
    i edited and changed the details of my days
    i dont want anyone to see the un-cut version of me
    if you want me, come and find me

    Dear untouched soul, I just wanted you to know that I have only been on this site a short time as Angel33614 is my son and I thought this might be a fun way to express. The very first poems I read were yours and I just want to tell you that I think you are by far a very talented and extremely well written poet. I love your poems as I love poems about relationships.     WHY IS IT WHEN WE ARE DIFFERENT FROM OTHERS WE HAVE THIS PRENOTION THAT WE HAVE TO CHANGE OURSELVES? HIDE OUR TRUE SELVES FROM OTHERS? PUT ON A HAPPY FACE FOR OTHERS TO SEE? WHY??? WHY IS IT THAT WHEN WE ARE IN LOVE WE FEEL WE HAVE TO TRY TO PLEASE THE OTHER PERSON TO THE EXTENT THAT WE ARE WILLING TO CHANGE THE VERY ESSENSE OF WHO WE ARE? WHY??? BEEN THERE AND DONE, MADE THAT MISTAKE TOO MANY TIMES, MORE THAN I CAN COUNT, TRUST ME... TRUST ME WHEN I SAY IT IS NOT WORTH GIVING THAT MUCH OF YOUR SELF TO ANOTHER, SOMEWHERE ALONG THE WAY YOU COME TO REALIZE THERE IS NOTHING LEFT TO GIVE AND ALL YOU HAVE LEFT IS A PIT OF EMPTINESS SO DEEP IT WOULD FILL EVERY OCEAN IN THE WORLD 10 TIMES OVER. THAT IS NOT TRUE LOVE, TRUST ME THERE IS MORE. WHEN YOU MEET THE RIGHT PERSON YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO CHNAGE A THING, YOU WON'T HAVE TO TRY, YOU CAN JUST BE YOU, PERFECT JUST THE WAY YOU ARE. NOTHING WRONG WITH GROWING, EVOLVING, LEARING THROUGH LIFE'S HARD LESSONS, BUT NEVER AND I MEAN NEVER CHANGE WHO YOU ARE AS A PERSON!!! AS WITH ALL MY WISDOM IT WAS HARTD FOUGHT, LEARNED IT THE HARD WAY MORE THAN ONCE... PLEASE DON'T TRY TO HIDE FRO EVERYONE, I KNOW THAT DUSKY DARK TOWN IS COMFORTING IN MANY WAYS BUT TRUST ME THERE ARE THOSE OUT THERE WHO WILL NOT HURT YOU... IF YOU DON'T WALK THROUGH THE DOOR JUST YET ATLEAST TRY LOOKING OUT TO SEE WHAT IS THERE... PURITY OF THE SOUL, JOURNEY WELL!!! ANGEL
