Friends
Friends come, friends go, some stay foreverAt school, at home, at work, at play
Even at church
Some you can count on, some not so much
Depending on who they are and how close
There are levels of friendship
Some are close and some are distant
Some are even non-existent
Or so it seems at times
But most are somewhere in between
As for me, I have a few friends
Many people I know, most are mere acquiantances
But really very few I can call friend
I have about 9 or 10 in my life
How about you?
Any true friends in yours?
They can be fun
They can be annoying
They're great when you feel alone
Take them when you can
You never know when you might need
A friendly helping hand
And you don't know how long
That they are meant to be yours
They may be gone tomorrow
Life is funny that way
Friendships do change over the years
Sometimes they're strong
And sometimes they fade away
Sometimes they switch gears
Right in the middle
So cherish what you have
Don't belittle them
You never know how long
You have your friends
