    Demons Run

    You feel those eyes on your back
    The hot breath on your neck
    You turn your eyes behind you
    But you can't see the demon pack
    Circling around you
    Waiting for a break
    Have you put on your armor
    To face the evil one more day

    Demons run
    After you
    They want to take you down
    Demons run, demons run
    Will you give up your crown

    Take that step
    And don't look back
    Keep runnin from the evil pack
    Cause it's your life that's on the line
    You gotta say no time after time
    Choose you words and choose your weapon
    There'll be a war before we're done
    Take a look and then you'll see
    We'll have to get down on our knees

    He does seem to answer more quickly when one is down on their knees. Like the rhythm, liked the rhyme. I'll read yours if you'll read mine. Write on.....

    That sounds fine.

    Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.
