    When you were here

    Sitting in the silence
    I remember how it was
    When you were here.
    Laughing and playing
Without a care in the world
    When you were here.
But it will never be the same
    As it was back then
    When you were here.
I remember the day we laid
    You to your eternal slumber.
    Taking residence with your Father
    Laying next to your mother.
    When you were here...
    Life has lost all meaning.
Nothing is as it once was.
    I am waiting,
    Waiting in sadness and tears,
    Waiting for things to be
    Like they should be,
    Like they were
    When you were here.

    When you were here...
