Secluded Happiness
The sandy beach calls out,
gently, as the waves lap
softly across the small stones.
Gulls cry, and I feel at ease,
not a care in the world when I
am in this special place.
I long to let others into my
secluded happiness, a feeling
that only I seem to know.
But until the day when the
world can feel the things
that I can while I am here,
I will be ever grateful
for the chance I have to
experience this wonderful world.
gently, as the waves lap
softly across the small stones.
Gulls cry, and I feel at ease,
not a care in the world when I
am in this special place.
I long to let others into my
secluded happiness, a feeling
that only I seem to know.
But until the day when the
world can feel the things
that I can while I am here,
I will be ever grateful
for the chance I have to
experience this wonderful world.
