"TRY A LITTLE KINDNESS"
Try a little kindness,You may make someone's day?
If your feeling down and low,
It may help you along the way.
Live a sweet young girl at Pizza Hut,
Who said everyone's been rude,
Said I'm the only one who's been kind,
All other's were so crude.
I talked to her just like a friend,
After paying I had a buck.
I gave her it as a tip,
She said she felt such luck.
I went to another store,
While waiting for my Pizza to be done,
A girl of maybe 13 and boy in cart of 6?
Cashier said $15.00 was not enough
As she was putting things back one by one.
She handed her a bag of chips siad down to $17.00.
And took the boys candy bar, I saw it was so hard.
I told the cashier to put back everything.
Give me the $15.00 and I'll put it all on my card.
This made the young girl happy,
I received a quite thank you.
The cashier said she's never seen that before,
It made her feel brand new.
I went back to get my Pizza,
And gave the girl a little more of a tip,
She said she wouldn't take it.
But I saw a smile on her lip.
She came around the corner,
Gave me a great big hug.
I hadn't had a good day till then,
As I was feeling smug.
So try a little kindness,
You may help more than one's day?
Like the cashier at the other store,
Who's never seen another pay.
So if you see a homeless person.
Holding a sign trying to stay alive.
Don't lie and give them your change,
Saying it's all I have, please give them a five.
Try a little kindness,
It may just make your day.
