Too Pretty
She's too pretty for me.Much.
She does that one thing that makes me forget
And
That other that takes away my breath.
She puts on that face,
She bats her (long) eye-lashes,
She traces my neck,
She flatters me (far more than she should)
She suspends my trepedition
Long enough for my brain to be
Bombarded with the signal and significance of each touch.
Long enough for me to want nothing
But her lips on mine.
Long enough for me to give in
And surrender to impulse
(And the pleasure of pleasing).
But the question is:
Is long enough, enough?
