    The Remnants Of Today

    Capture a piece of me
    before I drift away,
    before time removes
    the remnants of today.

Hold on to that which you love,
    allow me to exist evermore.
To be remembered in warmth and light,
is something we all endeavor for.

If you feel lost in darkness,
    lift your head up high,
    see beyond the clouds
the sun still rules the sky.

Peace can be found in one breath,
eternity in the gentle touch of a hand,
the value of life is countless,
to wonder is to truly understand.

    So I beg of you...

    Capture a piece of me
    before I drift away,
    before time removes
    the remnants of today.

I really love this one- felt it deeply in my soul, like I have been here before, so kindred in the words you poured on the paper, priceless words that are eternally felt and understood. You definitely created a piece worth capturing and saving in the heart forever.

Lovely thought...some things we just don't want to end, but they do.

Despite our pleas to the contrary, I fear Time erases all memories, but holding on for as long as one can is certainly desireable. Good write.

    Thank you Julie.
