The Last Time I Saw You
I wore a green dress,
your jeans were blue,
You hinted at release,
While I clung to you.
We both faced each other,
As we lay on your bed.
Almost, but not touching,
My heart and your head.
My eyes closed for moments,
As, always, I relish our time.
As you, with me stay,
Knowing, never can you be mine.
Looking to me then,
Wondering what you'd see.
My green dress coming off,
Baring all, you get me.
A love story turn nightmare.
My death you served up.
Short lived bliss and vodka,
Enough to fill a cup.
your jeans were blue,
You hinted at release,
While I clung to you.
We both faced each other,
As we lay on your bed.
Almost, but not touching,
My heart and your head.
My eyes closed for moments,
As, always, I relish our time.
As you, with me stay,
Knowing, never can you be mine.
Looking to me then,
Wondering what you'd see.
My green dress coming off,
Baring all, you get me.
A love story turn nightmare.
My death you served up.
Short lived bliss and vodka,
Enough to fill a cup.
