    She's Gone

A soft curling wave caresses the shore,
the wind whispers, she's gone, she's gone

I see your smile in the fluorescent crest of each wave,
    the wind sighs, she's gone,

a sail slowly disappears on the horizon,
as night falls about me like a cloak I shiver in the darkness,

Watching my footprints wash out to sea,

    The wind whispers your name,
and I hide in the quiet of my lonliness
