She Said
She said those words to me today.
That she would never go away.
Immediately it came to me.
How I would miss her.
They all lie and go away.
It seems unstoppable.
But looking within my mind.
Wondering at what I may find.
Honesty , corruption.
Dissatisfaction.....
Do I cause it?
Am I worth it?
Of course I am and yes I do.
At times.
Muddy waters our minds.
Murky black within.
Then light.
We accept the love.
We feel that we deserve.
I want more this time.
Don't run from us.
You've slipped and fallen.
But that could be said of both of us.
Human, yeah.
Imperfect lady.
Selfish man.
But for once in life.
I want to take a stand.
For you and I.
So look at me.
Right in the eye.
Forgive yourself.
For your past.
I have.
God has too.
Your heart has been wounded.
Mended with scars.
Our time on earth is measured.
The time is now.
Walk with me toward our end.
A noble lady in my eyes.
My friend.
Allow me now to polish.
You. The diamond in the rough.
Please shine for me.
No! Baby, shine for you!
I know you want too.
I love you.
I love you.....
He said.
