    Slated
    Hard
    Solid
    Your love is hard
    As this rock is

    We will build our love on this rock
    The first stone to build our mansion
    Where our love will grow
    We will raise our emotions in this house
    Built from the rock

    Strong it is
    Waterproof it is
    Course and rough to outsiders

    Our hearts will dwell
    Our souls will intertwine
    Our children of love will grow
    Here

    yes Here is where we will live
    As our days will last
    As our hollow shells will fade
    Away like the rays of warmth
    As the night comes

    Our souls; hearts and mines will be save
    Inside with the start of this rock
    The rock you gave me
    From the depths of this earth
    From the love of your heart
    Your soul
    Your mind

    A rock
    A rock that will last forever
    Our foundation

    This poem creates a nice atmosphere. Love as hard as a rock is often associated with negative boundaries. The way this phrase is presented here makes it an oxymoron. I like it! It’s a shame not even a rock will last forever.
