REDEMPTION
I stand alone
Watching the Night
Spirits skim just out of sight
Swirling in and out
As they move through
Their nightly routines
I stand alone
Scanning the Night
Listening to things
No mortal should hear
Feeling things I was never meant to know
Choices I made long ago
Suddenly rear their scaly head
Changing me
To something I don't recognize
When I look in the mirror
With power comes payback
What will they ask?
Will I have the courage to pay?
