Pipe Dreams
Pipe dreams peak and then they fall,
As they burst there is no one to call.
All the kings horses and all of his men,
Can’t put you back together again.
Like a sphinx you still try to rise,
Behind every door is no surprise.
And you wait and you plead and cry,
So you hear words, and words and lies.
Go out at night and you won’t be blind,
Alas, what is the difference with nothing to find.
