My Mother's Voice
My Mother’s Voice
She was soft and sweet and faint
I barely knew her yet
She was the one who would give me life
And will watch over me until my death
The embrace of her tone
No matter what the cause
Is always justice
She is, she is, she was…
Time should pass and time will go
My person would shape surely she would know
I am the being, off her branch you see
I am her living the way she wants me to be
I made her cry and hate me at times
But she never knew hate
No matter what my fall, my slip, my crimes
Because she loves me and her voice it shows
I led her down my spiral
I thought I could trick her into knowing my strengths
My weaknesses prevail always
She knows I am not a saint
She understands through thick and thin
She has been with me in bad and while I win
My goals are her dreams her passions delight
I want her to love me for all the right
But I am wrong in so many ways
But my mother’s voice tells me the days
She is a leader my heart is hers
When all is through, her love the most endures

Mom I love you. That is what I can tell. From the highest mountain, from the deepest of my hell. I am yours, your baby I always will be. For you alone are the one who created me!
