Last Stand
I hear them call my name
yet I don't listen.
I hear my blood pumping faster and I know that
I have just begun reaching my full potential.
I've survived worse than this,
I've stood tall,
the weariness inside never showing.
My face an emotionless mask
I hear them call my name,
yet I don't listen
My head pounds as if sensing my distress.
I know for certain now that this is
my last stand.
