I Came A pond A Thought Today
I came upon a thought today, aimlessly moving in my way.
Typically taunting, aloof in its ways.
I try to remember, sustaining its flight.
I clear a space in circle the thought, ready to fight for what I lost.
It’s mine to have, but what could it be, this thought walking around in me.
Give up your tale, written word, and phrase of song or what I heard.
To pull my hair, pulling down tight.
I think so hard, I think light.
I give, I yield, turn of the white.
Dark and still the rest in me, the thought returns, reminding me.
