Eternal Death
My heart is racing but yours has long ended
I was there, I watched as your spirit ascended
I wander what to say of you now that you’ve gone,
But it’s over now, there is nothing to dwell on.
Death is eternal I heard someone once say
‘Why can’t that be the same with life’ I pray.
I imagine you look down on me in enclosed pity
Far up maybe or perhaps below in some holy city.
You were once the only source of joy in my life
Was it worth it I wonder being your wife,
When things got bad and you left that one time,
You threw your life away with your partner in crime.
I will try not to mourn, or be hateful at Death.
Though it is hard not to, when he took your last breath.
I pray you find peace wherever you are,
And you remember the good times as you watch from afar.
