Wolf wind
Lonesome sound
howling at the moon
feel the wolf wind blow
I cross the desert
searching for food
listening to the howl
It is my mate
she calls me home
waiting all the while
I carry a gift in my mouth
and a beat in my heart
for her
I sniff the air
her scent
I inhale
Seeing her there
waiting for me
I run all the more faster
We greet each other
with a bite on the neck
she inspects my gift
I am so filled with love
at this moment
with her at my side
Love for us is a natural thing
we live each day
blessed
she lays beside me
ever so close
her warmth a comfort
